How to Care for Fresh Wreaths

The holiday season is all about enjoying the beauty of fresh greenery! Our wreaths are crafted to be enjoyed at their freshest, so we've compiled some helpful tips to help you maintain their beauty throughout the season. You’ll also find advice on drying and storing wreaths to help you enjoy their beauty even longer. Whether you're treating yourself or gifting them to someone special, these natural beauties are a delightful addition to your holiday decor!

Hanging a Wintergreen Wreath

EVERGREEN WREATHS

Evergreen wreaths, like our Berrylicious and Wintergreen, can stay fresh for 5-8 weeks with proper care. To keep your wreath looking its best, hang it outdoors in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight. Fresh air is key! If you’re bringing it indoors, select a slightly shaded spot and steer clear of heat sources like vents or fireplaces.

Our evergreen wreaths are meant to be enjoyed for one holiday season. To keep your wreath looking fabulous and hydrated, spray the back with water every 1-3 days. For added nourishment, mist it with our new Winter Wreath & Christmas Tree Food every 2-4 days. This will help preserve its vibrant color and minimize needle drop, ensuring longevity. Here is my favorite misting bottle to use for spritzing → Misting Bottle.

Boxwood Holiday Wreath

BOXWOOD WREATHS

To keep your boxwood wreath looking fresh and vibrant, try giving it a daily mist! A light spray of water will help maintain its lush look and stop it from drying out too quickly so you can enjoy its fresh beauty for even longer!

Our boxwood wreaths can be dried and will last for a minimum of 4 years if cared for properly. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving! Hang your wreath on a wall inside your home to enjoy it year-round or pack it away for next season. To store for future holidays, first wait until the drying cycle is complete. Then, place your wreath in a box and store it in a cool dry place. Make sure it it is free of any moisture before storage and for good measure you can add a desiccant to the storage box. Bring it out every year at the holidays to enjoy! Check out my list of wreath care tools and supplies to help you display, care & store your wreath → Favorite Wreath Supplies.

EUCALYPTUS WREATHS

Fresh eucalyptus wreaths, like our Yuletide and Winter Herb, offer a fleeting beauty that can last 1-2 weeks with proper care. To preserve their vibrant color and prevent brittleness, avoid placing them in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Daily misting will keep the wreath hydrated. While the fresh leaves may fade and curl as they dry, this is a natural part of their appeal. After about two weeks, the wreath will transform into a stunning dried piece that can last 6-12 weeks!

MAGNOLIA WREATHS

To keep your magnolia wreath looking fresh and vibrant, steer clear of direct sunlight and heat sources. A gentle mist of water each day will help it stay hydrated and happy! With a little TLC, your wreath can dry beautifully and last for at least four holiday seasons. Once it's fully dried, simply place it in a box and store it in a cool, dry spot. Make sure it's moisture-free before tucking it away, and for an extra layer of protection, consider adding a desiccant to the storage box.
